Our 5 luxury self catering apartments can accommodate groups of up to 14 people.

The Apartments and Gardens of Florença is a former working farmhouse, which has been tastefully and professionally converted by the owner into luxury flats, available for holiday and long term rentals near to Penela in central Portugal. There are five self contained apartments in total, three single bedroom apartments on the upper floor and one single and one double on the ground floor.

There is a private pool in the upper garden also a brick built traditional style barbecue for client use, additionally there are a couple of gas fired mobile barbecues available.

There are 6 metal garden tables each with 4 chairs, chair cushions and parasols. Around the pool area there are about 10 assorted loungers and reclining chairs.

In the courtyard garden there is a garden set consisting of a three seater sofa, two armchairs and a coffee table under a covered and curtained gazebo. There is also a bistro table with two chairs outside apartment No4

Solely for resident use, we have a traditional stone built cottage that we have converted into a bar serving soft and alcoholic drinks, beverages and snacks, either around the pool or in the evening.

Sports TV is available in the bar showing most of the popular English and European premiership games, Champions league, Europa and domestic cups. Additionally a number of significant Rugby union games and Formula 1 racing feature.

Stargazing is becoming a popular activity and central Portugal with its mountain ranges dotted with small rural vilages is the perfect place to combine a holiday with your passion for the night sky.

Florença Jardins e Apartamentos welcomes astronomers, star gazers, groups and clubs to observe the night sky with little or no light pollution.

At an altitude of 700 meters Penela is a wonderful place to set up your telescope and look to the sky.

Walking Holidays in central Portugal

Self guided walking holdiays at Florença Jardins & Apartamentos are ideal for guests who are keen to walk independently. Small walking groups are welcome, we can accommodate up to 14 people.

There are many wonderful walking routes in and around Cumieira, Penela and further afield.

We are on hand to help and advise with your walk route plannning and suggest places of interest.

Fresh Water Fishing Holidays

Florença Jardins & Apartamentos welcomes fresh water fishermen, our 5 luxury apartments can accommodate up to 14 people.

There are many lakes and rivers around Cumieira and Penela stocked with Barbel, Black Bass, Bream, Carp, Pike, Trout and Zander.

The fresh water fishing season runs from April to November, licences can be arranged on your behalf ready for your arrival. Fishing licences cost approximately €3.50 Euros.

Self Guided Cycling Holidays

Whether you are an advanced cyclist keen for some serious training or a beginner wanting a gentle pace Florença Jardins & Apartamentos is perfectly situated for both.

There are lots of on road and off road routes through rural villages, the mountains and woodlands in and around Cumieira and Penela.

At Florença Jardins & Apartamentos we are on hand to help and advise with your cycling route plannning and suggest places of interest.
